Xavier Canis

Xavier advises families, business owners, businesses and investors, in France and internationally. He founded the firm in 2004 and has since advised clients across a wide range of sectors.

A graduate of the DESS (now Master II) in Tax Law from Université de Bourgogne and holder of the International Diploma in European Tax Law, he began his career in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg at a private bank, before joining a niche law firm dedicated to wealth, tax audits and tax litigation.

A trusted adviser to families, he organises the sale of their businesses and their transfer to the next generation, whether family businesses or private wealth, and works alongside them to resolve family disputes. Over the years, he has developed recognised expertise in international estates, and assists his clients in preparing their tax returns (income, IFI, 3% tax, exit tax, inheritance, etc.).

For businesses and investors, he structures projects, supports their growth, sale and restructuring, and resolves tensions between shareholders or partners.

In tax litigation, including following tax searches, he devises strategies that he defends with conviction.

He works in close cooperation with private banks, investment banks, notaries, chartered accountants and fellow lawyers, in France and abroad.

As the firm's founder, he places his many years of experience at the service of its clients.
